"First Trimester"
"Expecting" is a series of animated vignettes that explores the experiences and sensations of being pregnant, through an abstract representation of life inside the womb. The vignettes are separated by semesters, with 3 semesters in total.
The audio retellings are taken from several videos of 5 different YouTubers — all different ages, social and economic backgrounds, and varying audience and follower counts — throughout their whole journey of pregnancy.
"Second Trimester"
The "blob" (as I call the abstract representation) is my own personal interpretation of the experiences and sensations, in which I liken it to a modern, interpretive dance.
